Past-Chairman of the Board, Vizient Southeast, Inc.

Russ Tyner is President & Chief Executive Officer of Baptist Health in Montgomery, AL since March 2004. Prior to joining Baptist Health, Mr. Tyner served 14 years as Chief Operating Officer for UAB Medical West Hospital.

Tyner received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications in 1982 from the University of Alabama and has completed advanced healthcare certification at the University of Michigan School of Business at Ann Arbor.

Roger L. Kirk

President & CEO, Bethesda Healthcare, Inc.

Roger Kirk was named President & CEO of Bethesda Healthcare in February 2012. Mr. Kirk joined Bethesda in 1988 as Vice President, Operations. He was promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in 1994.

Kirk received his Master of Arts in Health Care Administration from George Washington University, in Washington, D.C.



Jerry Fedele

Jerry Fedele has served as President & CEO of Boca Raton Regional Hospital since October 2008.

Mr. Fedele is a former adjunct professor at Duquesne University School of Law.

Mr. Fedele received his Bachelors of Science in Mathematics and Master of Business Administration degrees with honors from the University of Pittsburgh and Juris Doctor degree from Duquesne University School of Law, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he was class valedictorian.



Don Henderson

President & CEO, Central Florida Health Alliance

Don Henderson serves as Chief Executive Officer of the health care organization comprised of Leesburg Regional Medical Center and The Villages Health System since 2011.

Prior to his post at Central Florida Health Alliance, Don was President and CEO with Jackson Hospital and Clinic in Montgomery, Alabama. Previously, he held hospital CEO roles for nine years for Community Health Systems, Inc. in Pennsylvania and Louisiana and ten years prior to that worked for Hospital Corporation of America at hospitals in Georgia and Mississippi.

Henderson holds a Masters of Health Care Administration from George Washington University, Washington, DC and Bachelors of Economics and Government from the College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, VA. He is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Bryan N. Kindred

President & CEO, DCH Health System

Bryan Kindred is President ∓ CEO of DCH Health System since 1996. He began his tenure with DCH in 1985 serving as Assistant Administrator, Ancillary Services, Associate Administrator, Ancillary Services and Administrator of DCH Regional Medical Center.

Kindred holds a master’s degree from Troy State University, a bachelor’s degree from Columbus State Community College, and an Associate Degree from Chattahoochee Valley Community College.

Evan Dillard is in his 8th year as President of Forrest General Hospital, which is a four-hospital system based in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, with over 4000 employees serving South Mississippi.



Jeff Feasel

Jeff Feasel serves as President & CEO of Halifax Health since January 2005. He joined Halifax Health in 2000 where he held various roles including Chief Operating Officer, President and CEO of Patient Business and Financial Services, and Vice President of Halifax-Fish Community Hospital.

Feasel received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University and Masters in Business Administration from the University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio.

David Spillers

CEO, Huntsville Hospital

David Spillers serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Huntsville Hospital since March 2006.

Spillers began his health care career in 1981 with UNISYS Corporation designing and implementing software for the health care industry. In 1986 he joined Health Care Data Systems serving as Vice President of External Operations and part owner.

Spillers received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Computer Science from Winthrop College and his master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Miami. He is a member of the Amierican College of Healthcare Executives.



Mark Nix

President & CEO, Infirmary Health System

At-Large Member of the Board, Vizient Southeast, Inc.

Mark Nix serves as President & CEO of Infirmary Health System in Mobile, AL. He joined Infirmary Health System as Vice President of Real Estate and Property Management and subsequently served as VP-Infirmary Medical Clinics, Senior VP/CFO, President and COO before being named President & CEO in January 2009.

Nix graduated from the College of Commerce and Business Administration at the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. He obtained his Certified Public Accounting designation in 1981 and practiced public accounting with a national firm before joining a real estate development and management company in Mobile.



Elaine C. Thompson

President & CEO, Lakeland Regional Health

Elaine Thompson, PhD, FACHE, joined Lakeland Regional Medical Center as President & CEO in June 2010.

Dr. Thompson previously served as President of Lankenau Hospital near Philadelphia since 2006. Prior to being appointed as President of Lankenau Hospital, Main Line Health System, Dr. Thompson was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of St. Luke’s Hospital and Health Network. Dr. Thompson served in various administrative positions within the University of Pennsylvania Health System with responsibilities for hospital operations, professional practice management and network development.

Thompson holds a PhD in Biomedical Science from Drexel University School of Biomedical Engineering; a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Temple University; and dual Bachelor’s degrees from the University of Pennsylvania.


Gary Gore

CEO, Marshall Medical Centers

 

Gary Gore is the CEO of Marshall Health System, with hospitals located in Guntersville (Marshall Medical Center North) and Boaz (Marshall Medical Center South) Alabama.

Prior to assuming the role of CEO, Mr. Gore served as Administrator of Marshall Medical Center North from 1989 to 1999. Before joining Marshall Health System, he was Assistant Administrator of HealthSouth Medical Center (formerly South Highlands Hospital) from 1984-1989.

Gore is a graduate of The University of Alabama, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Management. He also received a Master of Science degree in Hospital and Health Administration from The University of Alabama in Birmingham.



Robert L. Lord, Jr.

President & CEO, Martin Health System

 

Rob Lord was appointed the President and Chief Executive Officer of Martin Health System in July 2016. Prior to that, he served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer beginning in June 2014. Mr. Lord oversaw construction and development of a new hospital campus (Tradition Medical Center) located in Port St. Lucie, Florida which opened in December 2013.  He was responsible for administrative oversight of all aspects related to the new hospital facility, including medical staff development, governmental and business community relations, clinical research program development, hospital start-up and initial operations.Mr. Lord is a member of The Florida Bar and has been board certified by The Florida Bar in health law.  He is also a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE). In addition, Mr. Lord is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association.  Mr. Lord has received an AV rating from Martindale Hubbel.

Mr. Lord received his Juris Doctorate degree from Stetson University College of Law in 1983.  In 1980, Mr. Lord received a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University with majors in government and communications.

George Mikitarian

George Mikitarian has led Parrish Medical Center (PMC) as President/CEO since 2001. He began his tenure with PMC in 1996 as Chief Operating Officer.

Mikitarian is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives with a Doctorate in Healthcare Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina, a master’s degree in Health Services Administration from Indiana University School of Medicine, and a bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education from Bridgewater State College.



Louis Bass

CEO, Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center

Mr. Bass was named CEO of Regional Medical Center in December 2014. He has served at RMC for more than 16 years as CFO. Prior to serving as CFO, he was assistant vice president of finance and corporate compliance officer. Before joining RMC, Mr. Bass served as CFO and director of finance for 11 years at Lloyd Noland Hospital in Fairfield, Ala.



Bernard A. Wheatley

CEO, Schneider Regional Medical Center

Dr. Bernard Wheatley is Chief Executive Officer of the Schneider Regional Medical Center since April 8, 2013.

Dr. Wheatley previously held the role of Vice President of Operations, at Athens Regional Medical Center, a 360 Bed facility.

Wheatley holds both a Master’s and a Doctorate in Business Administration. He attained his Master of Business Administration from New York Institute of Technology, Long Island, New York and Doctorate of Business Administration from Northcentral University, Prescott Valley, Arizona. Dr. Wheatley also achieved “Fellow” status with the American College of Healthcare Executives and has attained Certificates in Executive Programs in Healthcare Management from Ohio State University and in Health Care Policy from Harvard University. He is also a trained Radiologic Technologist.

Mark O’Bryant assumed the role as President & CEO of Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, Inc. in July 2003.

O’Bryant came from Memorial Health Care System in Chattanooga, TN where he served as Vice President & Chief Operating Officer.

O’Bryant is a Diplomat in the American College of Health Care Executives and an Adjunct Professor with the University of Alabama, Birmingham. His undergraduate degree is from Brigham Young University; his Master of Health Administration and Master of Business Administration degrees are from Georgia State University.
